The Trainers
guides for better coffee beyond formulas
Around The Curriculum, the team of The Trainers is taking shape—and we invite you to join it. If you believe you can guide others through the system of The Better Coffee and support them in navigating the current challenges of coffee markets, get in touch.
This is a licensed form of collaboration. Unlike other educational systems, we directly support the organization of your courses, and you become part of a team that not only educates and advances The Better Coffee, but also co-creates frameworks for shared knowledge, dialogue, and exchange.
Role in The Better Coffee Endeavour
The Trainers are a structure equal to The Curriculum and other core structures of The Better Coffee. They carry an educational role while supporting other entities in their day-to-day work and serve a representative function.
The team’s work includes consulting The Places, carrying out The Ranking Method, and providing ongoing, local support for coordination through The Better Coffee Office—also in practical coffee work beyond formal educational settings.
How it works
To become a member of The Trainers collective, you need to obtain a license valid for two years. From the start, it authorizes you to run The Better Coffee Blueprint and Conversation & Consultation.
It also includes authorization to run additional courses that we agree on together during onboarding. The license is flexible—its scope can be adjusted as you develop the competencies needed to teach further courses
The Trainers take part in ongoing, collective work on improving courses and updating the scientific knowledge we share. In other words, as The Trainer you are also a co-creator of the content you teach.
The Better Coffee Office will also propose collaboration in other areas, including consulting The Places. You will learn The Ranking Method as well, gaining the competence to carry it out in ethical evaluation and sensory analysis.
Fair compensation for The Trainers is supported through the Pay-It-Forward fund.
Who this is for
In principle, we do not require specific experience or certifications, which does not mean your prior educational practice is irrelevant.
The Trainers include not only experienced educators, but also researchers with academic backgrounds and practitioners from other fields.
